Willem Hansum is from Zoetermeer (Holland), he makes fresh and idiosyncratic paintings in the style of Pop Art.  He only makes paintings that he finds beautiful, without immediately having to find a deeper meaning for them. For him, the most important thing is that the attention of the viewer is automatically drawn to his paintings. Important here are originality, composition and use of color. Of course he also wants to surprise his audience, stimulate them and give people something to think about.
